From 25 until 29 June the twelfth edition of Vision took place in the World Forum in The Hague. This is the international conference on low vision organised by the International Society for Low Vision Research en Rehabilitation (ISLRR). Vision 2017 welcomed almost 1200 participants from all over the world; scientists, researchers and rehabilitation professionals out of the low vision work field. Together they shared knowledge and expertise on the conference theme “Low vision rehabilitation: a global right”.
Visio is the centre of expertise for partially sighted and blind people. Our task is to continuously develop, apply and share our knowledge and experience. Supporting people with visual impairments so they can take part in society, is our main aim. This is translated in our mission statement “Making participation happen”. Cooperation, sharing knowledge and innovation are keywords in doing so.
Together with Bartiméus and the Robert Coppes Foundation, Visio was present on the exhibition floor of Vision 2017. In our stand visitors had the opportunity to meet our professionals and get to know our knowledge products and expertise in more detail. This short film was made to visualise the cooperation between the three organisations and their expertise.
