Research - Meetup - VIP Youth Platform
At the Vision Congress Dublin in June 2022, Twan Driessen and Judith Wijnen passionately advocated for giving young people with visual impairments a stronger voice concerning their future. Following a loud applause and overwhelming support, this initiative progressed into a research project aimed at understanding how visually impaired youth envision their future, what they need to achieve it, the obstacles they anticipate, and other concerns they have. An impressive total of 590 VIP youth from all parts of the world participated in this endeavour! We will present the findings on June the 28th and June the 29th, and discuss them together to determine the key themes for an inclusive future for visually impaired youth. Additionally, we will assess the desire to establish an youth platform to organize and amplify the voices of young people.
Who is it for?
If you're between 18 and 30 years old and have a visual impairment, you're warmly invited to participate in the event "Let's talk about our future!"
